Q: What is this?
A: This is the Indonesian Student Directory, an initiative to gather the knowledge of Indonesian students which study abroad. It is aimed at managing their explicit (e.g., papers, articles, theses, dissertations) and tacit (e.g. their expertise andcontact information) knowledge.

Q: Is my identity secure?
A: We only publish your general information which you usually put in your websites. Email addresses are simply encoded to avoid spam. All information in this directory is publicly available to make the future Indonesian students easy to learn from your expertise and able to contact you. Isn't it so beautiful if we can help them?

Q: I forget my password. What should I do?
A: Don't be panic. Click forget password link, and type your email and full name. A new password will be sent to your email address.

Q: I lost my ACTIVATION CODE. What should I do?
A: You don't need your activation code if you have activated your profile. Anyway, if you haven't done yet, you can contact our administrator to activate your profile.

Q: I have no scholarship and I bring my own fund. What should I fill for the Scholarship info?
A: Just type or select "Own Funding".

Q: How can I help this initiative?
A: Please..please.. help.. Many of our friends haven't registered into this directory. You can invite them.

Q: What types of articles or documents can be submitted into this directory?
A: Articles or papers related to your subjects, published (in newspapers, journals, or conferences) or unpublished (in your hard disks), and finally your thesis or dissertations.

Q: Why some of my data appear as 'Unknown'?
A: The 'Unknown' label is automatically displayed if a particular information is not profided. You can change it by completing your information.

Q: How to use this directory as a reference of my profile and works?
A: Very simple. Just add your registered email address behind the index page, for example:
http://your.directory.domain/index.php?e=your@email.address.

Q: How was the history of this directory?
A: This application was initially developed from two different applications, Wong (member database, http://wong.degromiest.nl) and Journal (http://journal.degromiest.nl) deGromiest. deGromiest is a smaller community compared to PPI in Groningen. We though that it is better to have one application for both purposes and place it at a wider community, PPI. Thus, both applications are now RIP (rest in peace) and we have one application, ISD, at PPI.
